With the Washington Redskins knocking off the New York Giants on Sunday in a dominant effort, the Redskins fell in the draft standings. With the win to the Giants, it puts the Redskins at 5-9 for the season. If the 2012 NFL season were to end today, the Washington Redskins would hold the seventh overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Currently however the Redskins are tied with four other teams, record wise. The 'Skins are tied with the Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, and the Buffalo Bills. Based on current strength of schedule, the Redskins would hold the SOS tie breaker over all of the other teams they are currently tied with. The position the Redskins pick can move up and down drastically over the next two weeks depending on a win or a loss.
Here is the current NFL Draft order:
- Indianapolis Colts (1-13)
- St. Louis Rams (2-12)
- Minnesota Vikings (2-12)
- Cleveland Browns (4-10)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (4-10)
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-10)
- Washington Redskins: (5-9)
- Carolina Panthers (5-9)
- Miami Dolphins (5-9)
- Buffalo Bills (5-9)
