Roy Helu Status Update: Redskins RB Is Inactive Vs. Vikings

The Washington Redskins will take on the Minnesota Vikings today without a key player on their offense. Running back Roy Helu will be inactive today with Evan Royster starting in his place.

The rookie running back from Penn State will get his first NFL start. On the season, Royster has just 17 carries for 83 yards in four games. Helu had been dealing with an ankle injury that was obviously bothering him when the coaches watched the tape from last weeks win over the New York Giants. Expect Ryan Torian to see his first touches since the end of November.
