Washington Redskins standout rookie running back Roy Helu missed last week's game against the Minnesota Vikings with knee and toe injuries, but don't expect him to sit out for long. Helu told reporters that he will play on Sunday when the Redskins conclude their season against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, according to 106.7 The Fan's Grant Paulsen.
Helu has been a revelation for the Redskins this year, rushing for over 100 yards three times after being given the starting job, but was ineffective playing through the injuries in a win over the New York Giants two weeks ago. In his absence, fellow rookie Evan Royster rushed for 132 yards in the 33-26 loss to the Vikings. Chances are that both players will see plenty of action in the season finale, especially after the release of Ryan Torain.
