Washington Redskins running back Roy Helu had a fantastic game against the Seattle Seahawks last week, piling up 162 total yards and a touchdown. But does that mean fantasy owners should start him against the stout New York Jets defense? We believe you should.
Despite its reputation, the Jets' rush defense has been very average this year. They rank 15th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game, allowing teams to average 115.6 yards per game on the ground. In addition, starting defensive lineman Mike DeVito's injury looms large. DeVito is one of the better run-stuffers in the league, and without him in the lineup, the Jets could struggle on the ground.
Number Fire projects Helu to pick up 8.94 points this week, but we think Helu will do better than that.
