LaDainian Tomlinson Injury: New York Jets' Running Back Hurts Knee Vs. Washington Redskins

New York Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson has been bothered by injuries all season, and that trend may have continued against the Washington Redskins. Tomlinson appeared to suffer a left knee injury early in the game, and he was taken out of the lineup. It's possible he reaggravated his sprained MCL.

It's not clear whether the injury is serious, but Tomlinson was being looked at by trainers on the sidelines. The injury happened when Tomlinson caught a screen pass and raced down the sidelines. Safety Oshiomogho Atogwe tackled him by his jersey and tumbled underneath Tomlinson as he fell to the ground. He stayed down on the sidelines and play stopped as Jets trainers tended to him.

It remains to be seen if he will return to the game.
