Jets Vs. Redskins: Trent Williams, Fred Davis Don't Comment On Reported Drug Suspensions

Trent Williams and Fred Davis did not comment on the reported four-game drug suspensions both got from the NFL after the Washington Redskins' 34-19 loss to the New York Jets. That's because the Redskins ushered them out of the locker room before reporters arrived, according to multiple reports.

The remaining Redskins were told not to comment on the record about the suspensions, according to ESPN 980's Chris Russell. However, many did comment anyway, saying they knew for a while. One player said this, via CSN Washington's Ryan O'Halloran:

One player said: "We all know the rules. They give us a list of what you can't take; if you have a question, the number is right there."

The violation is the third for both players, but one was excused because it happened during the lockout grace period. Neither player can appeal because the four-game suspension was by virtue of a compromise already. There are four games left in the Redskins' season, so both Williams and Davis will not play again this year.
