VIDEO: Shaun Suisham Is Very Wide Left On Field Goal Attempt During Super Bowl XLV

Washington Redskins fans love to rag on Shaun Suisham for coming up short in pressure situations. As a kicker for the Redskins, Suisham developed his uncanny ability to miss the worst field goal attempts at the worst times. Most notably, he shanked a 23-yard field goal last season, preventing a win against the then-undefeated Saints. He then went to Dallas, where two missed field goals in the playoffs ended his stay.

So it was a pretty obvious bet that Suisham would miss a field goal as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. It didn't happen on his first attempt, but finally, Suisham came through for us in a big way. Not only did he miss this 52-yard field goal, but he missed it very, very badly. As our own Martin Shatzer put it: "You could have put two more sets of goal posts to the right of the normal goal posts and he still would have missed."

Of course, we should also be blaming the Steelers for even putting a guy like Suisham in a position to shank that field goal, but that goes without saying.
