As if Dan Snyder isn't involved in enough lawsuits, he may have worked his way into another. OK, so the lawsuit doesn't have his name on it, but it still has something to do with him. According to AM Law Daily, Red Zone LLC, Snyder's investment company based in Virginia, is suing a local law firm for malpractice.
↵The suit has to do with what Red Zone LLC deems "bad advice" that they were given by Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft over a 2005 matter involving Six Flags, for whom Snyder was a chairman for a year. The law firm suggested that Red Zone LLC would only own financial services firm UBS A.G. $2 million for its work with the theme park, when really it owed $8 million. Cadawalder said the lawsuit is "disappointing and without merit," while Red Zone says the case is "simple" and that they would prevail.
↵The lawsuit was filed Monday in New York state trial court.
↵To review: Snyder is not a party in this case, and Jeffrey Jannuzzo is the formal representative. Still, it's a Snyder company suing someone over money, so we can at least chuckle for a second.
