2011 NFL Mock Draft: Could Georgia's A.J. Green Really Fall To The Redskins?

SB Nation just came out with the latest version of their 2011 NFL Mock Draft, and they have a little bit of a surprise player penciled in for the Redskins. Despite being among the most talented prospects in the draft, they have Georgia's A.J. Green falling to the tenth overall pick in the draft (sort of). Here is their rationale.

I don't believe for a second that Green (and maybe even Julio Jones) lasts this long into round one. Both receivers are ideal trade-up targets. Assuming there is no trade-ups though, I don't think it'd take the Redskins more than ten seconds to hand in their pick.

I agree with both parts of that explanation. There is no way the Redskins would pass on Green at No. 10, but there is also no way that he will still be available for them to draft there. They can't factor in trades in these mock drafts, and if Green falls past the first five picks (which is unlikely in and of itself) someone will pounce on the opportunity to get a player of his caliber by trading up. Simply put, he is just too talented to last this long on Draft day. But again, if he is there for the Redskins, this one is a no-brainer; even if they have needs larger than wide receiver.
