Usually, the Washington Redskins don't have a second-round pick in the NFL Draft, because they prefer to trade it away. This year is an exception, which is great for many reasons (though we'll conveniently ignore that they don't have a third- or fourth-round pick). You can add one more to the list: the pick will be announced by Doug Williams.
↵The quarterback who led the Redskins to victory in Super Bowl XXII will come to the podium to tell everyone who the Redskins will take as part of a league-wide initiative to have an NFL legend announce each second-round pick. The announcement will be made in prime time on Friday, April 28.
↵Other notable team alumni (if you want to put it that way), include Andre Reed (Bills), Anthony Munoz (Bengals), Shannon Sharpe (Broncos), Barry Sanders (Lions), Franco Harris (Steelers), Marshall Faulk (Rams) and Dwight Clark (49ers). There's a lockout joke in here somewhere, and I'm too scared to make it.
