2011 NFL Mock Draft: Redskins Have A Lot Of Needs

With such little football related news to discuss that doesn't involve courtrooms, mediators, or pottery, Gregg Rosenthal of ProFootballTalk.com is running a series of columns breaking down the needs of each team in the NFL. He covered the Washington Redskins today, and as you may have guessed, they happen to have plenty of needs.

Rosenthal listed quarterback, cornerback, defensive line, and wide receiver as the biggest needs for the Redskins, and then added:

The Redskins have only two picks in the first four rounds.  This is nothing new: They have only averaged 2.25 picks in the first four rounds since 2003. It’s no wonder they are averaging one starter per draft over the last four years.

This is a vicious cycle that has left the team with ton of needs and few good young players.  We didn’t even list outside linebacker or offensive line above, which are both big issues.

So then does Rosenthal mean to imply that the Redskins are set at kicker? Graham Gano FTW!
