Santana Moss Wants To Return To Washington Redskins, Says It's Mike Shanahan's Call

Free agent wide receiver Santana Moss was on ESPN980's "Sports Fix" this afternoon and spoke about his potential return to the Redskins in 2011.

Moss expressed his desires to come back to Washington next season:

Santana Moss on ESPN 980 : "That's the only thing I can think of (returning). I'm a ."

The Redskins top receiver also mentioned how he had a conversation with owner Daniel Snyder at the end of the 2010 season about his chances of returning:

Santana Moss on 980: "I did speak with Snyder at the end of the season, and he said he wanted to get something done"

He did note, however, that though Snyder wants him to return, it is ultimately Mike Shanahan's call:

Moss says he spoke to Dan Snyder at end of season, said he wants him back. Admits that it probably will be Shanahan's call on that.#Redskins

When asked what the likelihood of his return was, Moss stated he was not sure. He did reiterate, however, that he does not want to play anywhere else:

Moss on ESPN 980 : "I feel like I invested a lot in to this team. I would hate to leave and see the team be successful, knowing I was here"

So, there you have it. Moss wants to be back, but as has been the case all offseason, he nor the Redskins will be able to know when they can be reunited until the work stoppage ends.
