Albert Haynesworth Declines Comment On Future With Washington Redskins

Albert Haynesworth has, unsurprisingly, declined to attend the Washington Redskins' players-only workouts in April, May and June. He is technically still on the Redskins' roster, but his future is cloudy. He finally broke his silence, telling 106.7 The Fan's Grant Paulsen why he hasn't shown up to the players-only workouts and what he thinks of his future.

On the latter, Haynesworth declined to comment:

Haynesworth, via text, on if he wants to return to the #Redskins: "No comment," .. "I'm not talking. Don't have anything to say."

This comes on the heels of a Yahoo! report that indicated that Haynesworth's old defensive line coach, Jim Washburn, wants him to join the Philadelphia Eagles. As for the workouts, Haynesworth said nobody informed him of them.

Albert Haynesworth, via text, on why he's not attending the mini camp: "I was never informed of the players camp so I will not be there."
