Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss is expected to be one of the top free agents available as soon as the NFL lockout is solved. Most expect him to stay with the Redskins after having a banner 2010 season. However, the Chicago Bears are also in the mix for his services, and one current player has advocated for him.
In an interview with Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune, Devin Hester said he'd like to see the Bears sign Moss.
"Anybody that can come in and help out the team, I'm down for it, and a guy like (Moss) can come in and really help out a lot," Hester said of his fellow Miami Hurricane. "I'm hoping we can get him."
The Bears are said to be looking for a bigger receiver, but it'll be hard for them to turn down Moss after having such anemic receivers last year.
