Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the owners have proposed an end to the NFL lockout and has set forth a number of key dates in the new season if the players do indeed approve the new CBA. Goodell announced that team facilities will open on Saturday, July 23, and free agency and training camp can begin on Wednesday, July 27.
Following the reconstitution of the NFLPA as a union and approval of the new CBA by the NFLPA membership, the League Year and free agency signings will start at 2:00 PM ET on July 27 and training camps for all teams will open on July 27.
Goodell also announced that the preseason Hall of Fame game has been cancelled. Jeff Pash also announced that the players will have to re-certify before the year starts, though he didn't specify a specific date.
