Washington Redskins Training Camp Schedule: Camp Indeed Beginning Thursday, According To Report

It now appears that Washington Redskins training camp will begin on Thursday after all. After initially suggesting that training camps could not begin until Friday, NFL Network's Matt Pomeroy has returned to his original timeline of 10 teams starting Wednesday, 10 Thursday, 10 Friday and two Saturday.

Once again, the reason for the discrepancy in dates is that each team must start 15 days before their first preseason game. The Redskins open their 2011 preseason schedule on August 12, so they will begin camp on Thursday. Players can begin reporting to the facilities on Tuesday.

Here is the full list of 2011 NFL training camp dates.

Wednesday: Broncos, Cardinals, Cowboys, Chargers, Eagles, Jaguars, Patriots, Raiders, Ravens, and Seahawks

Thursday: 49ers, Bengals, Buccaneers, Chiefs, Dolphins, Falcons, Lions, Redskins, Saints, and Steelers

Friday: Bears, Bills, Browns, Colts, Giants, Packers, Panthers, Rams, Titans, and Vikings

Sunday: Jets and Texans
