The University of Maryland continues to feed players into the NFL through the undrafted free agent signing process. Former Terp wide receiver Adrian Cannon is the latest, and he has signed on with the San Diego Chargers. For more on Cannon, we turn to Patrick Stevens of the Washington Times.
Cannon caught 86 passes for 935 yards and six touchdowns in 45 games at Maryland. He made 23 starts, all but one in his final two seasons. He had 36 receptions for 324 yards as a senior. He joins Travis Baltz (Indianapolis), Adrian Moten (Indianapolis), LaQuan Williams (Baltimore), Alex Wujciak (Cleveland) and Will Yeatman (New England) as former Terrapins inking free agent deals this week.
Cannon probably has a long way to go before he can make the Chargers everyday roster, but he is a competitor and he should at least be able to contribute to the practice squad. For more on the Terps, head over to Testudo Times.
