On Friday, Comcast SportsNet posted an item on how Mike Shanahan said he "loves" Donovan McNabb at a youth football camp. It was a brief line in a speech Shanahan gave in response to a kid's question, during which he said that you have to make "tough decisions" as a football coach when it comes to your roster.
↵Not content with that, Pro Football Talk decided to nevertheless post this item on the speech, saying it showed that Shanahan is "planning to give his 34-year old QB the axe." Keep in mind that this is based on a speech Shanahan gave to a bunch of kids. The kid who asked the question is seven years old.
↵Now, CSN Washington has put up video of the whole exchange, and ... yeah, Shanahan is talking to a bunch of kids after all. I think it's time we closed the book on this non-story.
