The market for Washington Redskins' free-agent cornerback Carlos Rogers has been pretty much non-existent to this point, but luckily for Rogers, it appears a team has stepped forward and shown interest. The Carolina Panthers, who have been spending a lot of money this summer, are interested in Rogers, according to the Gaston Gazette.
Carolina lost starter Richard Marshall to the Arizona Cardinals and are reportedly looking at Rogers as a replacement. Rogers talked himself up a lot coming into free agency as he looked for a big payday, but has seen a number of other teams fill their cornerback voids with other players. That includes the Washington Redskins, who signed Josh Wilson from the Baltimore Ravens last week.
Rogers is generally known as a good coverage player who has really bad hands. He frustrated Redskins fans for years with his inability to haul in interceptions. However, he's also capable of locking down receivers better than most.
