Phillip Buchanon, a free-agent cornerback who was the No. 3 guy for the Washington Redskins last season, has announced that he has re-signed with the team. He put the news out there on his Twitter account after suggesting he ha an announcement to make.
Buchanon had received some other offers and even changed agents a couple times over the summer, but ultimately, he decided to stay in D.C. to serve as a nickel cornerback alongside DeAngelo Hall and Josh Wilson. Buchanon, 30, picked up two interceptions in the role last season. The former Oakland Raiders first-round pick will be entering his 10th season in the league next year.
