Now, it's John Beck's turn to show what he can do. After spending all summer being hyped up, either by his own working or the Redskins', Beck will get his chance to show his skills when the Washington Redskins take on the Indianapolis Colts in the second preseason game of the year on Friday night.
Beck sat out the first preseason game last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a groin injury, allowing backup Rex Grossman to have an impressive game. Grossman completed 19 of 26 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown in the Redskins' 16-7 win. However, Beck will start and potentially play the entire first half. There are some who think this is just a sign that Beck has been given the team's starting quarterback job already.
Several Redskins are expected to miss the game, including Chris Cooley, LaRon Landry, Ryan Torain, O.J. Atogwe, London Fletcher, Josh Wilson, Brandon Banks and Malcolm Kelly. Peyton Manning is expected to sit out for Indianapolis, along with several other Colts stars.
