Just when it looked like the Washington Redskins would remain undefeated in the NFL preseason, Tyrod Taylor and the Baltimore Ravens stole it away. Taylor found Brandon Jones for a nine-yard touchdown with 22 seconds remaining, allowing the Ravens to get a 34-31 victory.
The wheels were set in motion when Kellen Clements was intercepted with 3:35 remaining. The Ravens had the ball in the red zone, but Taylor's pass was dropped by Anthony Allen on fourth down. The Redskins went three and out, giving the Ravens the ball back. Former Terps product LaQuan Williams ran the punt back to the Redskins- 35-yard line, and Taylor found Jones three plays later.
The Redskins received the ball back on their own 37-yard line after a nice return by Niles Paul, but Clements' Hail Mary was knocked down. Both teams are now 2-1 in the preseason.
