With the Washington Redskins needing to make decisions on who to keep on their 53-man roster, it should not be a huge surprise that most of the regular starters are not likely to play in the team's final preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to NBC's Dan Hellie, as many as 17 regular starters will not play in the game.
Lot of starters going to be sitting this one out. About 17 regulars not playing. #redskins #bucs
Those 17 players were all sprinting on the sidelines before the game. Grant Paulsen of 106.7 The Fan has a list of those 17 players. They do include Rex Grossman, which means that John Beck will likely be the starter for the game. It remains to be seen if Grossman will end up playing in a backup role or if he is out for good.
