If you're attending Sunday's NFL season opener between the Washington Redskins and New York Giants, the Redskins have some advice for you: arrive early. Like, real early. The game was already going to feature heavy security with it being the 10-year anniversary of the September 11 attacks, and now, that security is only going to get greater with the recent terrorist threats in the news.
↵Here's the basic schedule. The parking lot will open at 12:15, and the gates will open at 2:15. Because fans will be examined more thoroughly upon entering the stadium, the Redskins are recommending that people enter the stadium by 3:15 if possible, a full hour before the game begins. Of course, 3:15 is also the same time the team will honor about 150 family members of people affected by the attacks on the Pentagon, so there's even more reason to get in your seats early.
↵Otherwise, you may end up missing some of the action.
