NFL Scores, Week 1: Eagles Vs. Rams Headline NFC East Games

In other NFC East action, the Eagles have a tricky opener in St. Louis, while the Cowboys travel to New York to face the Jets.

While the Washington Redskins and New York Giants do battle at FedEx Field on Sunday afternoon, the other two teams in the NFC East have interesting road openers. Here is your NFC East schedule for Week 1.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. St. Louis Rams: The "Dream Team" finally takes the field, and this is a very interesting season opener for them. The Rams are a popular sleeper pick this year after showing some signs last season, and this game is in their stadium. Philadelphia's upgraded secondary, led by Nnamdi Asomougha and Asante Samuel, should make life miserable for Sam Bradford, but can the Eagles' front seven stop Steven Jackson on the ground? On the other end of the ball, can the Rams get to Michael Vick? (1 p.m., FOX)

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Jets: With the Eagles' issues along their lines, the Cowboys are getting a lot of love as a popular NFC East champion pick. Their first game, though, is going to be really tough, seeing as they're traveling into New York to face a really good Jets team on the 10th anniversary of September 11. That atmosphere is going to be electric. (8:30 p.m., NBC)
