Week 1 NFL Injury Report: Justin Tuck Made Inactive For Giants Vs. Redskins

The Washington Redskins have received a major break in their Week 1 matchup against the New York Giants. Justin Tuck, the star defensive tackle that has dominated the Redskins over the years, has been listed as inactive on the final NFL injury report for the game. Tuck had been suffering from a neck injury and was limited all week in practice.

Tuck's absence means the Giants will really trot out a skeleton crew on defense for the game. Defensive end Osi Umenyiora and cornerback Prince Amukamara are already injured, and cornerback Terrell Thomas and linebacker Jonathan Goff are already out for the season. Tuck's backup, Marvin Austin, is also out for the year. The Redskins should be able to run the ball effectively with Tuck out of the lineup.

Tight end Travis Beckum also won't play for the Giants in this game.
