Talk about a bunch of momentum swings. In the span of a couple minutes, the Washington Redskins went from being comfortable with their 21-14 lead over the New York Giants to uncomfortable and back again. As we get closer to the midway point of the fourth quarter, the Redskins still have the lead.
Things looked good when the Redskins got the ball on the Giants' 42-yard line, but then bad Rex Grossman returned. The Redskins' quarterback, who had been playing so well, fumbled at midfield, and the Giants picked up the ball and ran it back inside the Redskins' 30-yard line.
But then the Redskins' defense bailed them out. First, Ahmad Bradshaw was stuffed on third and one. Then, Brian Orakpo found a way to block Lawrence Tynes' field-goal attempt. It was a huge sequence, no doubt. The Redskins now have the ball with their seven-point lead.
