The Washiongton Redskins and Rex Grossman nearly began the second week of the NFL season in similar fashion to Week 1. It looked like they would score on their opening drive of the game to take a 7-0 lead over the Arizona Cardinals at FedEx Field. Instead, Bad Rex returned.
Grossman threw a horrible pass on third down and goal from the five, and Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson stepped in and picked it off to end the drive. It was a major missed opportunity on a drive that went so well. The Redskins looked poised to score when Kerry Rhodes picked up a 15-yard personal foul penalty on a missed third down. That brought the ball to the 10-yard line, but Grossman was picked up shortly after that.
