Redskins Vs. Cowboys Score Update: Washington Leads 6-3, After First Quarter

Through one quarter, the Redskins lead the Cowboys 6-3.  After a ten play, 42 yard  opening drive that took nearly 5 minutes, Graham Gano connected on a 46 yard field goal to give the Skins the 3-0 lead.  On the Cowboys subsequent drive, Dan Bailey evened the score with a 41 yard field goal of his own.

Rex Grossman is 3 for 6 for 30 yards, connecting with Chris Cooley for 17 yards on the opening drive.  On the ground, Tim Hightower has struggled with only 19 yards on seven carries.

On the defensive side, LaRon Landry has already made his presence felt, chasing down Cowboys wideout Kevin Ogletree and forcing a fumble.  Josh Wilson recovered the fumble on the sideline, where it was originally ruled that it had been previously touched by Kevin Barnes while he was out-of-bounds.  Mike Shanahan successfully challenged the call, where replay showed Barnes in mid-air during the touch.

The Skins were given the ball first and goal, where they quickly went three and out.  Gano connected on his second field goal of the night from 27 yards out, given the Skins the 6-3 lead.
