Redskins Keep Leonard Hankerson, Ryan Torain On Final 53 Man Roster

With the news that Donte Stallworth and Niles Paul making the roster, most were wondering the fate of third round draft pick Leonard Hankerson. His spot appeared to be in danger, as the team would unlikely to keep eight wide receivers.

But according to the former Miami Hurricane, he has indeed made the 53 man roster. That seems to suggest that the team will either release second year man Terrence Austin, or that they will keep him and have eight receivers.

As for the running backs, Ryan Torain has reportedly been informed that he has made the 53 man roster as well. There was brief chatter that Torain was somewhat in danger of making the roster, with the club hoping rookie Evan Royster would be able to beat him out. That wasn't the case, apparently, and Torain will return to the club this year as its number two back behind Tim Hightower.
