2011 NFL Cuts: Nine Rookies Make Washington Redskins' 53-Man Roster

It appears Mike Shanahan hopes some fresh legs and fresh faces will lead the Redskin to victory this year. The Redskins official 53-man roster contains 20 players who were not on the team last year, 23 players who are age 25 or younger and nine rookies. That's right, NINE:

The rookies not to make the squad? Sixth round pick Evan Royster (RB), sixth round pick Aldrick Robinson (WR) and seventh rounder Maurice Hurt (OG). The Redskins hope to sneak these players onto their practice squad, especially Royster, but will have to see how the process plays out. The last rookie to mention, second round choice Jarvis Jenkins, has been placed on injured reserve for the upcoming season.
