Dan Snyder Didn't Even Read Washington City Paper Article Before Suing

Remember when Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder sued the Washington City Paper because of an article Dave McKenna wrote last year? Remember when he continued the lawsuit even though seemingly the entire D.C. area was outraged? You'd think that Snyder would have read the article in question before suing ...

... but you'd be wrong. Via a New York Times interview:

Earlier this year, you sued The Washington City Paper for publishing "The Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which, among other things, claimed that your company had engaged in some shady business practices. Have you read the article?

No.

Keep in mind that Snyder is demanding a correction and a retraction, yet he hasn't actually read what he specifically wants to correct and retract. I guess this explains why his criticisms seemed so off-base at the time. That's what happens when you sue a paper simply because you "heard all the details."

(This also speaks to the bad advice Snyder continues to receive on this case, but that's just a footnote to the fact that HE DIDN'T EVEN READ THE ARTICLE).
