The Washington Wizards will be well represented at the Impact Basketball league in Las Vegas. Of the 71 players signed up to participate in the two-week summer exhibition series, six played for the Wizards last season. John Wall headlines the list, which also includes Jordan Crawford, Rashard Lewis, rookie Shelvin Mack and free agents Nick Young and Larry Owens.
The league, which is scheduled to play from September 12 to September 23, is a series of organized training sessions in the morning, followed by organized games in the afternoon. The big names include Wall, Chauncey Billups, Zach Randolph and No. 2 overall pick Derrick Williams. The Wizards are tied for the most number of participants with the New York Knicks, who are represented by Billups, Roger Mason, Jared Jeffries, Shawne Williams, Josh Harrellson and Iman Shumpert.
