Chris Cooley Injury Leaves Washington Redskins' Tight End Questionable Vs. New York Giants

Chris Cooley, who has not played in the entire NFL preseason due to a knee injury, remains questionable to play for the Washington Redskins in their week 1 game against the New York Giants. Cooley was limited in practice again on Friday, and coach Mike Shanahan said his status is still up in the air. Via Ryan O'Halloran of CSN Washington:

#Redskins other big injury -- Shanahan said Cooley is questionable and did limited work. Expect all players on report to be 'questionable.'

After previously expressing confidence that he would play in Week 1, Cooley was non-committal today, both at practice and before. During his weekly radio segment with "The Sports Junkies" on 106.7 The Fan, Cooley said that all injury statuses are referred to Shanahan. However, he did joke to the show hosts that they should leave him in their fantasy football lineups if they are his friends.
