Robert Griffin III To Enter 2012 NFL Draft, According To Report

Baylor Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Robert Griffin III has not officially made up his mind, but all indications are that he will soon announce his intentions to declare for the 2012 NFL Draft. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Griffin is informing coach Art Briles of his decision on Tuesday, so an official announcement is expected shortly.

Griffin is the top quarterback prospect in the draft besides Andrew Luck, and the Washington Redskins are searching for a quarterback to lead the team for the next decade. Several experts have written that Griffin is a very good match for coach Mike Shanahan's offense. With the No. 6 pick, though, it appears the Redskins may need to trade up in order to acquire Griffin. SB Nation's latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft has Griffin being picked by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 4 pick.
