2012 NFL Mock Draft: Can Redskins Trade Up For Robert Griffin III?

SB Nation has been releasing Mock Drafts for a while, and a lot of the most recent ones have Robert Griffin III going within the first two selections. This is troubling for Redskins fans because the team desperately needs a quarterback and they don't currently pick in the top two. But in their most recent edition of the Mock Draft, the guys at SB Nation offer some hope in the form of a trade up from No. 6 to No. 2 and the selection of RG3.

Washington could be a suitor for Peyton Manning, but that's a lot of risk for all involved. Instead, the Redskins swing a deal with the Rams, giving St. Louis a pair of first round draft picks (and more) for the rights to RG3.

I'm sure most fans would love to see Griffin in a Redskins jersey next fall, but the biggest question is what exactly would it cost the team to make that happen. Obviously their first round pick this year, and probably their second as well. I would imagine their first round pick in 2013 would pre required as well, and it wouldn't surprise me if there were other pieces involved as well. It remains to be seen if the Redskins are willing to part with that many picks to get what figures to be their quarterback of the future.
