In Week 5 of the 2012 NFL regular season, the Washington Redskins and Atlanta Falcons will tangle in front of a raucous crowd at FedEx Field.
The Redskins will be trying to win their second consecutive game after claiming victory in the final seconds over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend on a Billy Cundiff field goal. Conversely, Atlanta played well below its normal capabilities against the Carolina Panthers, but still managed to win in the closing seconds.
If Washington can pull off the upset and knock the Falcons from the ranks of the unbeaten, it'll have a chance to move into a tie of first place in the NFC East.
That chance hinges on the proverbial battle for Pennsylvania, with the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers meeting at Heinz Field. The Steelers are desperate coming off their bye week a 1-2, but got some good news earlier this week when head coach Mike Tomlin said he anticipates Troy Polamalu and James Harrison being able to play.
Other headlining games include the Bills going west to challenge the San Francisco 49ers while the winless New Orleans Saints play host to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday Night Football.
Sunday's Redskins game is set for a 1:00 kickoff at FedEx Field. The game will be televised by Fox.
