Washington Redskins injuries: Brandon Meriweather still limited

Washington Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather was limited in Wednesday's practice and remains doubtful for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

Safety Brandon Meriweather has yet to play a game for the Washington Redskins due to a left knee injury and was limited in practice on Wednesday. Head coach Mike Shanahan said Meriweather was a "long shot" to play against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Meriweather is expected to return on Nov. 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles after the Redskins bye week.

Also limited in practice on Wednesday was inside linebacker Perry Riley. Riley strained his hamstring in the second half of the Redskins 27-12 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. Riley has started every game this season.

Wide receiver Pierre Garcon (right foot) continued to sit out practice after being diagnosed with a ruptured ligament in his toe.

Linebacker London Fletcher (hamstring), punter Sav Rocca (right knee), and cornerbacks Josh Wilson (shoulder) and David Jones (Achilles) were all full participants in Wednesday's practice. All four Redskins played against the Steelers in Week 8.
