2012 NFL schedule: Redskins, Cowboys rivalry heats up on Thanksgiving

Robert Griffin III and the Redskins will travel to Dallas for a Thanksgiving showdown Thursday.

Patrick Smith

The Washington Redskins will be a part of the national spotlight this week.

The Redskins are one of six teams which to play on Thanksgiving this year. Washington will travel to play its rival Dallas Cowboys in the middle game Thursday. Kickoff is set for 4:15 p.m. on FOX.

The Redskins (4-6) are coming off a 31-6 trashing of another rival, the Philadelphia Eagles. Robert Griffin was perfect -- literally, at least according to quarterback rating (158.3) -- in the game, completing 14-of-15 passes for 200 yards and four touchdowns. RGIII also had 84 rushing yards on 12 carries.

The Cowboys are 5-5 this season. While the Redskins cruised to a win Sunday, the Cowboys had to work for their 23-20 overtime win against the Cleveland Browns. Dallas scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to rally back. Cleveland took the lead with 1:07 left, but Dallas kicker Dan Bailey hit a 32-yard field goal to push it into overtime.
