Redskins vs. Cowboys 2012: Game preview, kickoff time, TV schedule and more

Washington and Dallas meet for the seventh time on Thanksgiving Day.

Geoff Burke-US PRESSWIRE

The Washington Redskins will take part in a Thanksgiving Day tradition as they travel to Arlington, Texas to face the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium Thursday afternoon.

The Redskins broke a three-game losing streak Sunday with a 31-6 win over the Philadelphia Eagles at FedEx Field. In that game, Washington's rookie quarterback, Robert Griffin III, completed 14 of 15 passes for exactly 200 yards and four touchdowns.

The Cowboys won their second straight game Sunday, defeating the Cleveland Browns, 23-20 in overtime. Tony Romo threw the ball 50 times for Dallas, completing 35 of his passes for 313 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Dez Bryant caught 12 of Romo's passes for 145 yards and a touchdown in that game.

Washington has not defeated Dallas on Thanksgiving Day in six tries, and the oddsmakers don't like them to break the streak this year, as the Cowboys are favored by a field goal. Washington's only victory on Thanksgiving Day came in 1973, when they shut out the Detroit Lions, 20-0.
