Giants vs. Redskins: LB Keenan Robinson out for season with pectoral muscle tear

Washington Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson is reportedly out for the season after suffering a pectoral tear on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys.

Washington Redskins rookie linebacker Keenan Robinson's pectoral injury will reportedly keep him out for the rest of the season, according to a report by ESPN Radio 980 in Washington. The report did not specify if the pectoral muscle tear was full or partial, but only that is was serious enough to sideline Robinson for the rest of 2012.

Robinson was injured late in Thursday night's 38-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys, but the extent of the injury was not known at the time.

A fourth-round draft pick by the Redskins in the 2012 NFL draft, Robinson has been used as a reserve linebacker and has seen more playing time as injuries added up. Robinson has been credited with 11 tackles so far in his rookie season, and three of them -- all solo -- coming against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

According to several reports, the Redskins have signed linebacker Rodderick Muckelroy to take Robinson's spot on the roster. Muckelroy was a fourth-round draft pick of the Bengals in 2010, and has played 19 games for that team over the past three seasons before being waived earlier this month.

After having a short turnaround last week, the Redskins will have a little extra time off as they play on Monday Night Football next week. Washington will host the New York Giants at FedEx Field on Monday, Dec. 3, at 8:30 p.m. ET.
