NFL schedule 2012: Redskins travel to Cleveland

The Redskins are just outside the NFC playoff picture, but Washington will need to win on the road this week if they want to keep pace.

USA TODAY Sports

After back-to-back close wins at home, the Washington Redskins will go on the road this week to face the Cleveland Browns.

At 7-6, the Redskins are a game out of the NFC playoff picture. Washington also trails the New York Giants by one game in the NFC East. With Dallas and Minnesota also 7-6, the Redskins will need a win this week to avoid falling behind. Washington will travel to Cleveland to face a 5-8 Browns team. While Cleveland is out of the playoff picture, the Browns have been playing well lately. Cleveland has won three straight games and is 4-3 at home this season.

Other NFC contenders including the Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings will also be on the road this week. The Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears will be at home.
