Washington Redskins safety DeJon Gomes was injured on the second-half kickoff Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles and his return is questionable with a left knee injury.

As Washington received the opening kickoff of the second half, a teammate fell and rolled up on the side of Gomes' left leg. Gomes stayed down on the field for a while before eventually walking off under his own power. Once off the field, Gomes went directly to the Redskins' locker room.

Gomes has returned to the sideline and was shown on a stationary bike, but his status to return was announced as questionable.

The second-year safety from Nebraska has become a regular in the Washington secondary, recording 39 tackles and one interception this season.

The Redskins scored on the first drive of the second half to extend their lead to 20-10. Philadelphia responded with a field goal to draw within seven.

The game is being televised on FOX.
