NFL Free Agency Rumors: Washington Redskins Pursuing A WR, Vincent Jackson, Pierre Garcon Top Candidates

One of the biggest needs that the Washington Redskins would need to address in the offseason is at wide receiver. As of right now, they appear to be thinking about testing the free agent market to address that need according to Mark Maske of the Washington Post.

Names that have already been floated about as possibilities for the Redskins to pursue in free agency are Vincent Jackson of the San Diego Chargers and Pierre Garcon of the Indianapolis Colts.

Both receivers had decent seasons last year for their respective teams, Jackson catching 60 passes for 1,106 yards, his third 1,000 yard season in the last four, and nine touchdowns. Garcon, despite not having quarterback Peyton Manning the entire season, caught 70 passes for 947 yards and six touchdowns.

There is no shortage of wide receivers up for free agency this offseason. Including Jackson and Garcon, Reggie Wayne, Dwayne Bowe, Marques Colston, Stevie Johnson, Plaxico Burress and Mario Manningham are all eligible free agents, provided their respective teams do not use their franchise tag on them by the deadline on Monday.
