Peyton Manning Would Be A Target For Washington Redskins, According To Report

Much has been made about whether Peyton Manning, if released by the Indianapolis Colts, would be pursued by the Washington Redskins. Obviously, Manning's health is a key issue in any pursuit occurring, but according to ESPN's Adam Schefter the Redskins are expected to go after the quarterback if here were released by Indianapolis.

If Peyton Manning is released, Redskins are expected to pursue him. Redskins also prepared to pursue free agents Matt Flynn and Kyle Orton.

If Manning is healthy, teams would be crazy not to kick the tires on a quarterback of his caliber. But therein lies the rub - no one truly knows yet the quarterback's health. The Redskins are obviously in need of an upgrade at the quarterback position, be it in the draft or free agency, so Mike Shanahan and Co. should definitely be looking into any and all viable options.
