2012 Super Bowl Prop Bets: Can NFC Win Coin Toss For 15 Straight Years?

Perhaps the most improbable achievement tonight could be the extension of a the NFC's coin toss winning streak. The NFC has won the last 14 Super Bowl coin tosses, an incredible streak that defies the 50/50 odds. The Packers started the coin toss winning streak in Super Bowl XXXII, and then lost on the field to the Denver Broncos in San Diego. The Redskins won two of the three coin tosses in their Super Bowl appearances.

The odds of winning 14 straight coin tosses are 16,384 to 1, which is the exact likelihood of an also-ran 5th option receiver making the pivotal catch of a Super Bowl with his helmet. The coin toss prop, according to bovada.lv, is offered at -105 for either heads or tails, and either the Patriots or Giants.
