2012 NFL Mock Draft: Redskins Need To Shore Up Offensive Line

The Washington Redskins are going to try their darndest to get a franchise quarterback under center this year, but he won't have a lot of success unless the team can also improve the talent around him. That includes an offensive line which ranked among the most porous in the NFL last year. That must be why the guys at Mocking the Draft have the Redskins taking Iowa tackle Riley Reiff in their latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft.

Until the Redskins decide what to do at quarterback in free agency, this pick will be a tough one to figure out. I really think they are going to strongly consider jumping up for one of the two big quarterbacks in this draft, but it won't be easy.

Reiff is a fast riser in this class and he could start immediately at right tackle, or even push Trent Williams over to that spot. But if the Redskins fail to get someone who needs protecting, you have to wonder how much of a difference this pick will make.
