London Fletcher, the unquestioned leader of the Redskins defense, will hit free agency in a few weeks, and the Redskins are aiming to keep him in the fold. But he aims to measure his interest around the league, and in a little bit of a turn, he has decided to go with new representation. According to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com, Fletcher has changed his agents and will now be represented by CAA.
Fletcher is no longer represented by Drew Rosenhaus and has hired CAA and agent Ben Dogra, according to league sources. Redskins general manager Bruce Allen has said that the team wants Fletcher back, and that the 14-year veteran wants to return.
I'm not sure what this means about Fletcher's intentions in free agency, but I don't think that it will change the Redskins plans to bring him back.
