Redskins-Rams Trade: Teams Confirm Deal For No. 2 Pick In 2012 NFL Draft, Robert Griffin III

The Washington Redskins and the St. Louis Rams have agreed in principal to a trade that would include the 2nd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, according to a joint statement released by both clubs,

"In order to execute each of our club's plans for free agency and the upcoming draft, we have agreed to a trade between our two teams for the 2nd pick in the 2012 draft. We will submit this trade to the NFL for approval."

The Redskins will give the Rams the 6th overall pick and a 2nd round draft pick and 1st round picks in 2013 and 2014 to move up. Washington is expected to select Baylor QB Robert Griffin III.
