Per CSN Washington's Rich Tandler, the Redskins have brought Mike Sellers' second term with the team to an end by releasing him.
Sellers originally signed with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent prior to the 1998 season after spending three years with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL. After signing with Cleveland, Sellers spent part of the 2001 season with the Browns before being waived that November.
After spending two more seasons with Winnipeg, Sellers returned to the 'Skins in 2004. Though he spent most of his time as a blocking back and special teams man, Sellers managed to score 1,253 all-purpose yards and 21 touchdowns in his Washington career.
